Kareena Kapoor Khan continues to shine with back-to-back projects. After recently appearing in The Buckingham Murders and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again, the actress has now stepped into a new and exciting venture. Produced by Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios, and directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, Kareena has begun shooting for her next big film titled Daayra.

In this project, Kareena will be seen alongside Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, an actor celebrated for his powerful screen presence and gripping performances. Prithviraj, who was last seen in a film with Kajol where Ibrahim Ali Khan played her son, will be playing the role of a police officer in Daayra. Kareena herself shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the sets, posting a video with the caption: “Day 1, 68th film, Daayra with the most amazing Meghna Gulzar.” The clip also showed the team performing a puja before the start of the shoot.

Adding to the excitement, Prithviraj’s name is currently buzzing in connection with SS Rajamouli’s mega 1000-crore project starring Mahesh Babu. Reports suggest that he has already shot his portions for the film, and even though an earlier post by his mother hinted at his role, it was later deleted—only fueling further speculation. Apart from acting, Prithviraj is also an accomplished director, making his collaboration with Kareena all the more anticipated.

Meghna Gulzar, known for critically acclaimed films like Raazi, Talvar, and Sam Bahadur, is expected to bring yet another powerful story to the big screen with Daayra. Fans are thrilled to see Kareena Kapoor Khan teaming up with Prithviraj Sukumaran for the first time, making this film one of the most awaited collaborations in recent times.
