Jeep Wrangler Willys 1941 Edition Re-Launched in India at Lower Price

Jeep India has reintroduced the Wrangler Willys 1941 Special Edition in the Indian market at a reduced starting price of ₹68.31 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks a notable drop from its earlier price of ₹73.24 lakh when the model was first launched in May 2025.

Despite the price reduction, the SUV remains extremely exclusive. While only 30 units were offered earlier, Jeep has now made just 41 units available, keeping it among the rarest Wrangler editions in India.

Design and Styling: Inspired by Military Legacy

Based on the fully loaded Rubicon variant, the Willys 1941 Edition pays homage to Jeep’s military heritage. It comes in an exclusive ‘41 Green’ paint, closely resembling the olive-green shade of the original Willys military vehicles.

Adding to its historic appeal is a ‘1941’ decal on the bonnet, marking the year when the iconic Willys MB entered mass production. Apart from the signature green shade, the SUV is also available in standard Wrangler colors such as Firecracker Red, Black, Bright White, Anvil Clear Coat, and Billet.

Features and Accessories

The Willys 1941 Special Edition comes equipped with several off-road-friendly features, including:

  • Powered side steps

  • New interior grab handles

  • All-weather floor mats

  • Front and rear dash cameras

Buyers can also choose an optional accessory package priced at ₹3.6 lakh, which includes a Sunrider soft roof and a roof carrier with side ladder, enhancing both practicality and adventure appeal.

Engine and Performance

Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that delivers 270 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Jeep’s proven 4x4 drivetrain, ensuring strong off-road capability.

Bottom Line

With its reduced price, iconic military-inspired design, and limited availability, the Jeep Wrangler Willys 1941 Edition continues to be a highly desirable choice for enthusiasts seeking exclusivity, heritage, and rugged performance.
