After the 35-minute phone call between PM Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh made a public statement about the conversation. However, he erroneously referred to a White House press note regarding the talks that turned out to be outdated.

After the criticism, Jairam Ramesh apologized publicly for the mistake, saying, "I am not non-biological, I made a mistake and corrected it immediately."
Besides this error, Ramesh also criticized PM Modi for staying silent for 37 days after Trump’s claims about his role in stopping the India-Pakistan war and demanded an all-party meeting for transparency.
