India US Trade: Why did America reject 15 mango ships from India? Said - take it back or throw it away

It is mango season and at this time everyone likes to eat mangoes. In such a situation, you too must be crazy about mangoes. Anyway, there is a huge demand for Indian mangoes all over the world and America is the biggest buyer of Indian mangoes, but recently America has returned 15 consignments of mangoes sent from India. If the news is to be believed, the reason for this is said to be a mistake in the documents related to the radiation process. The total price of these mangoes was said to be more than 4 crore rupees.

According to media reports, the consignment

was stopped at the airports of Los Angeles, San Francisco and Atlanta, as reported by Economic Times. US officials say that errors were found in the documents of the radiation process, which is done to kill insects present in the fruits and keep them safe for a long time, however, US customs officials did not accept the consignment citing errors in the documents.

This is the reason for the destruction

According to reports, according to exporters, the problem was not with the insects but with the documentation of the process of killing the insects, these mangoes were irradiated on May 8 and 9 in Mumbai where the process took place under the supervision of an official of the US Department of Agriculture, this official certifies the PPQ 203 form which is mandatory for import of mangoes into the US. US officials gave the option of either destroying the mangoes in the US or sending them back to India.
