Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history in the final of the 2026 Under-19 World Cup. He smashed 15 sixes and 15 fours in his historic innings of 175 runs. India set England a target of 412 runs.
Team India has performed exceptionally well in the final of the 2026 Under-19 World Cup. Thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi's explosive 175, the Indian team posted the highest total in an Under-19 World Cup final. India scored 411 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs in the title match. Now, if England wants to win the World Cup, they will have to score 412 runs, which is almost impossible.
In the final, Vaibhav Suryavanshi alone scored 175 runs. He scored a century in just 55 balls. His historic 175-run innings came in just 80 balls, hitting 15 sixes and 15 fours. Interestingly, Vaibhav scored 150 runs from boundaries alone.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi created a new world record
14- year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the fastest batsman to score a century in the history of the Under-19 World Cup final. With this, he now holds the second-fastest century in the history of the Under-19 World Cup. The record for the fastest century in the Under-19 World Cup is held by Australia's Will Malazuk, but Vaibhav Suryavanshi now holds the world record for the fastest century in a final. Vaibhav is the third Indian to score a century in an Under-19 World Cup final, following Unmukt Chand (2012) and Manjot Kalra (2018).

Batting first, Team India lost their first wicket at the score of 20. Aaron George was dismissed for 9 runs off 11 balls with the help of two fours. Captain Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi then shared a 142-run partnership. Mhatre made 53 runs off 51 balls, hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes. Vedant Trivedi scored 32 runs off 36 balls, Vihaan Malhotra made 30 runs off 36 balls, and wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu made 40 runs off 31 balls. Kanishk Chauhan remained unbeaten on 37 runs off 20 balls, hitting 3 fours and a six. Vaibhav alone scored 175 runs off 80 balls, thanks to 15 fours and 15 sixes.
For England, Sebastian Morgan took two wickets for 74 runs in nine overs. Alex Green dismissed two Indian players for 49 runs in five overs. James Minto took three wickets for 63 runs in eight overs. Manny Lumsden also had a wicket.
