A three-match T20 series is going to be played between India and Afghanistan. The Indian team for this three-match T20 series has been announced. Sanju Samson has returned to the 15-member squad, captained by Shreyas Iyer. Young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also made a place in the squad.

Four players have been selected for the team subject to passing a fitness test. These players include fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshit Rana, all-rounders Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Sanju Samson was not part of the Zimbabwe tour team. He has now been selected as the wicketkeeper for the series against Afghanistan. Ishan Kishan has also been included in the team as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Tilak Verma will serve as the vice-captain.
