Huawei Nova 16s Pro Unveiled With 200MP Camera, 7,000mAh Battery and 100W Charging: Full Specifications

Huawei has expanded its Nova smartphone portfolio globally with the launch of the Nova 16s series. The new lineup includes the Huawei Nova 16s and the higher-end Nova 16s Pro.

Both smartphones feature displays with refresh rates of up to 120Hz and large 7,000mAh batteries. However, the Pro model stands out with a 200MP main camera, 100W fast charging and a more advanced camera setup.

Here is everything you need to know about the Huawei Nova 16s Pro.

Huawei Nova 16s Pro Price and Colour Options

Huawei has introduced the Nova 16s Pro in international markets, including Germany. However, the company has not yet officially announced its price in Germany or several other markets.

The smartphone is available in three colour options:

  • Isle Blue

  • Breathing Crystal

  • Starry Black

The final pricing will be an important factor in determining how competitive the Nova 16s Pro will be against other premium smartphones.

6.84-Inch OLED Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate

The Huawei Nova 16s Pro features a 6.84-inch Ultra Bright OLED display with an FHD+ resolution of 2856 × 1320 pixels.

The refresh rate can dynamically adjust between 1Hz and 120Hz, allowing the phone to balance smooth animations with power efficiency.

The display also features a 2.5D flat design and extremely slim bezels. Huawei claims peak brightness can reach 6,000 nits, which should make the screen easier to view under bright lighting conditions.

Other display technologies include AI HDR and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, which Huawei says is designed to provide a more comfortable viewing experience, particularly in low-light environments.

Kirin 9010S Chip and Up to 512GB Storage

The Nova 16s Pro is powered by an octa-core Kirin 9010S chipset.

The smartphone runs Android 16-based EMUI 16 out of the box and comes with up to 512GB of internal storage. Storage options include 256GB and 512GB configurations.

Huawei has also included AI-based gesture features designed to provide additional ways of interacting with the device.

Special Cooling System for Heavy Usage

Gaming and other demanding tasks can generate considerable heat, so Huawei has equipped the Nova 16s Pro with a dedicated cooling system.

The phone uses micrometre-level stainless-steel etching technology along with an Ultra-Slim VC frame designed to help move heat away from internal components.

Huawei says this cooling system helps maintain temperature control during demanding workloads and extended usage.

200MP Main Camera With RYYB Sensor

Photography is one of the biggest highlights of the Nova 16s Pro.

The smartphone features a 200MP primary camera with a large 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor. It also supports optical image stabilisation (OIS) and AI image stabilisation.

The main camera is accompanied by a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto camera. It supports 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, along with OIS and AI stabilisation.

The third camera is a 50MP RYYB ultra-wide sensor with a 118-degree field of view.

The fourth sensor is a 1.5MP multispectral camera, which Huawei claims can improve colour reproduction by up to 120%.

Dual Front Camera Setup for Selfies

Huawei has also paid considerable attention to the front cameras.

The Nova 16s Pro features a 50MP front Ultra Portrait Camera with a 1/2.5-inch sensor. It supports a zoom range from 0.8x to 5x.

A secondary 1.5MP True-to-Color camera is also included. According to Huawei, this sensor helps improve colour accuracy at the pixel level.

This gives the smartphone a dual-camera setup on the front as well.

Massive 7,000mAh Battery With 100W Charging

Battery life is another major selling point of the Nova 16s Pro.

The phone packs a 7,000mAh battery and supports 100W fast charging. The combination of a large battery and high-speed charging could appeal to users who spend long hours gaming, streaming videos, taking photographs or using demanding applications.

Stereo Speakers and Extensive Connectivity

The Nova 16s Pro supports several modern connectivity standards, including Bluetooth 6.0, BLE, SBC, AAC, LDAC, L2HC and USB Type-C.

It also supports NFC, GPS and GLONASS/BeiDou positioning systems.

For audio, Huawei has equipped the smartphone with symmetrical dual stereo speakers. The company claims they can deliver a 100-degree ultra-wide soundstage for a more immersive experience while watching videos or listening to music.

Slim Body Despite the Large Battery

Despite carrying a huge 7,000mAh battery, the Nova 16s Pro measures just 7.1mm in thickness.

The phone weighs approximately 218 grams, which is understandable considering its large battery and extensive hardware.

Huawei Nova 16s Pro: A Feature-Packed Smartphone

The Nova 16s Pro brings together several high-end specifications, including a 200MP primary camera, 50MP periscope telephoto lens, 7,000mAh battery, 100W fast charging and a 120Hz OLED display.

The phone also focuses heavily on AI features, cooling technology and colour reproduction.

However, its ultimate position in the premium smartphone segment will depend heavily on its official pricing in international markets. If Huawei prices the Nova 16s Pro competitively, its combination of camera hardware, battery capacity, fast charging and display technology could make it an interesting option for buyers looking for a feature-rich flagship-style smartphone.
