Hero Xpulse 450 Unveiled at EICMA 2026: Gets 421cc Engine, Adjustable Suspension and 7-Inch Smart Display

Hero MotoCorp has introduced its new flagship adventure motorcycle, the Xpulse 450, at EICMA 2026. The upcoming motorcycle is expected to take the company's adventure bike lineup to a new level with a powerful 421cc liquid-cooled engine, advanced suspension hardware and several modern technology features.

Positioned above the Xpulse 210, the new Xpulse 450 is designed for riders looking for stronger performance and better off-road capabilities. Its highlights include adjustable suspension, a 7-inch TFT display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, four riding modes and traction control.

Hero Xpulse 450: Engine and Performance

The Hero Xpulse 450 gets a newly developed 421cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It produces 46.7 hp at 9,100 rpm and 38 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm.

For comparison, the smaller Xpulse 210 produces 24.6 hp and 20.7 Nm of torque. This makes the Xpulse 450 significantly more powerful and better equipped for demanding riding conditions.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. Hero MotoSports has also reportedly contributed to the motorcycle's development, bringing rally-inspired engineering and design elements to the new adventure bike.

Hero Xpulse 450: Suspension and Hardware

Suspension is one of the major highlights of the new Xpulse 450. At the front, it gets a 43mm KYB cartridge-type upside-down fork with 225mm of suspension travel.

The front suspension offers 22-step adjustability, allowing riders to modify the setup according to different road conditions and riding requirements. The additional travel is expected to improve the motorcycle's ability to handle rough roads and off-road trails.

Hero has not yet disclosed complete details about the rear suspension. However, the motorcycle is expected to feature a monoshock setup with compression and rebound adjustment options.

Hero Xpulse 450: Smart Features and Technology

The motorcycle also receives several technology upgrades. Its most noticeable feature is a large 7-inch TFT instrument display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.

According to Hero, this is a segment-first feature, offering riders smartphone connectivity and access to supported applications through the display.

Other important features include:

  • Four selectable riding modes

  • Traction control system

  • 7-inch TFT instrument console

  • Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support

  • Adjustable front suspension

  • Slip-and-assist clutch

These additions make the Xpulse 450 more technologically advanced than the existing Xpulse 210.

When Will Hero Xpulse 450 Launch in India?

Hero MotoCorp has not officially announced the Indian launch date or pricing of the Xpulse 450. The motorcycle is expected to reach international markets before its Indian introduction.

According to reports, the bike could arrive in India during the second half of 2027. Its pricing will be an important factor in determining how competitive it becomes in the middleweight adventure motorcycle segment.

Once launched, the Hero Xpulse 450 is expected to compete with popular motorcycles such as the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

With its 421cc engine, rally-inspired hardware and advanced connectivity features, the Xpulse 450 could become an important addition to India's adventure motorcycle market.
