Government Scheme: People will no longer be deprived of rations if their fingerprints don't match; the government has changed the system

There's good news for ration card holders. The government has now changed the system for obtaining rations

There's good news for ration card holders. The government has reportedly changed the ration distribution system. To make the ration distribution system easier and more transparent, the government has implemented face authentication. This will relieve people from the hassle of thumbprints at ration shops and the problem of fingerprint mismatches.

Under the new changes, facial verification will also be available if fingerprints don't match, allowing people to receive rations. Ration card holders are required to use their thumb or finger print as part of biometric verification on the e-PoS machine to receive rations.

People are often deprived of rations due to network issues, technical glitches, or skin sensitivity, resulting in fingerprint mismatches. Now, with the government's new initiative, people will no longer face such problems. The machine's camera will scan the beneficiary's face and verify it against the Aadhaar database.
