Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has once again teamed up with hitmaker Rohit Shetty, and their reunion is already proving profitable. The duo, known for delivering blockbuster entertainers, has officially begun shooting for Golmaal 5, the latest installment of the popular comedy franchise.

Even before completing a week of filming, the movie has made headlines by earning crores through a major pre-release deal.

T-Series Buys Music Rights for ₹9 Crore

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, music giant T-Series, headed by Bhushan Kumar, has acquired the music rights of Golmaal 5 for approximately ₹9 crore.

Given the massive popularity of the Golmaal franchise and its chart-topping songs over the years, Bhushan Kumar reportedly sees strong commercial potential in the film’s music and considers it a safe and profitable investment.

Past Differences Put to Rest

Interestingly, this deal also marks a fresh chapter between Bhushan Kumar and Rohit Shetty, whose relationship had reportedly turned sour during the production of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again. At the time, T-Series had claimed copyright over the title track of Singham Again, leading to tension between the two camps.

However, with Golmaal 5, both sides appear to have buried the hatchet and moved forward professionally.

Akshay Kumar to Play the Villain

One of the biggest surprises in Golmaal 5 is the reported casting of Akshay Kumar. Unlike expectations, Akshay will not play the hero but is said to be portraying the villain, locking horns with Ajay Devgn.

This will be Akshay Kumar’s first-ever appearance in the Golmaal franchise. Interestingly, Golmaal 5 will mark the sixth collaboration between Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar, who have previously worked together in five films.
