Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the nation to refrain from buying gold for a year, and within 24 hours, he reiterated the same sentiment. Consequently, gold prices have seen slight pressure since yesterday. Today, May 12th, the MCX is also seeing an increase. Gold prices have risen by ₹286 to trade at ₹153,949 per 10 grams.
Gold and silver prices in bullion market:
Today the rate of 24 carat gold in Delhi is Rs 1,52,270. Whereas, the price of 22 carat is Rs 1,39,590 per 10 grams. The price of 24 carat in Mumbai is Rs 1,52,120 and the same is the price in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Apart from this, the price of 24 carat per 10 grams in Patna is Rs 1,52,170, the price of 22 carat in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai is Rs 1,39,440.
Silver
prices have fallen after remaining stable for three days. Previously, silver had become more expensive by approximately ₹20,000 per kg in the past three days. Today, silver is selling at ₹2,74,900 per kg in Delhi, down ₹100. Prices are also at similar levels in Mumbai and Kolkata. Meanwhile, silver remains the most expensive in Chennai, where the price is ₹2,85,100 per kg.
