A deeply disturbing incident from Ghaziabad’s Raj Nagar Extension area has left the entire community shocked. A seven-year-old girl, who went missing during the night, was later found dead inside the basement of an under-construction building. The heartbreaking discovery came after a stray dog’s unusual behaviour helped guide the family and locals towards the spot.

Police have arrested two accused in connection with the case and have started further investigation.

Family and Locals Searched for Hours

The tragedy unfolded when the young girl suddenly disappeared, leaving her family in panic. Her mother and relatives immediately began searching for her, along with neighbours and local residents.

Hundreds of people searched nearby areas, streets, and construction sites late into the night. Despite several hours of effort, there was initially no clue about the missing child.

The girl’s mother, devastated by the incident, said the family was preparing to send their daughter to school and had many dreams for her future. The sudden tragedy left the family shattered.

Stray Dog Leads Searchers to Basement

During the search operation, some locals reached an under-construction building where a security guard was present.

The guard reportedly told them that he had heard a suspicious sound from inside the building earlier but could not confirm anything due to darkness and silence.

Around midnight, when people entered the building using mobile flashlights, a stray dog followed them inside. The dog suddenly moved towards the basement and stopped at a particular spot.

The unusual behaviour caught everyone’s attention. When locals followed the dog, they discovered the girl’s body lying there.

Police were immediately informed after the shocking discovery.

Local Woman’s Observation Helped Police

As anger and grief spread among people at the scene, a local woman reportedly provided an important clue to the investigation.

She informed others that she had seen some people taking the girl towards the same under-construction building earlier.

Although she did not know the exact location of the suspects, information gathered from locals helped police trace two accused individuals.

Police reached the location and arrested the suspects, who were reportedly working as labourers.

Police Begin Detailed Investigation

Ghaziabad Police took immediate action after receiving information about the incident.

The girl’s body was sent for post-mortem examination by a special medical team. A forensic team also collected evidence from the crime scene to support the investigation.

Officials said that the case has been registered under serious charges, including kidnapping, sexual assault, murder, and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Two Accused Arrested, Search Continues for Another

According to police officials, two accused have been arrested and sent to custody. The search for another accused who is reportedly absconding is continuing.
