Fans of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat have reason to be excited, as discussions about a possible sequel to the romantic drama are reportedly underway. Director-writer Milap Zaveri has indicated that he intends to make another instalment, raising hopes that Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa could return to the screen together.

Released in 2025, the film attracted considerable attention for its romantic storyline and the performances of its lead actors. Its reported commercial success and continued popularity on social media have kept audience interest alive, with fans repeatedly asking the makers for a sequel.

However, while the possibility of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2 has generated excitement, the project has not yet been confirmed with an official production schedule or release date.

Milap Zaveri Responds to Demand for Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2

Milap Zaveri recently reflected on the film's continued popularity as it marked its first anniversary on October 21.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the filmmaker revealed that fans continue to create social media reels inspired by the movie and regularly request a second instalment.

Zaveri also indicated that he had spoken with producer Anshul Garg, Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa and Raghav Sharma about the possibility of making a sequel.

The director expressed his intention to revisit the story when the timing is right. His comments suggest that discussions have taken place, although they do not amount to a formal announcement that production has been approved.

For fans, the prospect of seeing the characters return is encouraging, particularly given the continued online interest in the original film.

Why Did the First Film Connect With Audiences?

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat featured Harshvardhan Rane in the lead role, with Sonam Bajwa playing a prominent character. Shaad Randhawa and Sachin Khedekar were also part of the cast.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, the romantic drama drew attention through its intense emotional storyline and the chemistry between its lead performers.

The film reportedly collected approximately ₹110–112 crore worldwide, making it a commercial success according to the figures cited in the supplied report.

Its performance helped strengthen interest in the possibility of continuing the story, while social media activity has kept the film visible among fans even after its theatrical run.

Will Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa Return?

One of the biggest questions surrounding a potential sequel is whether Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa will reprise their roles.

Both actors were central to the original film's appeal, and their return would be an obvious point of interest for audiences.

Milap Zaveri's reported discussions with the actors have fuelled speculation about a reunion. However, neither a confirmed cast list nor an official announcement about their participation in the sequel has been established in the supplied report.

The final cast will depend on the project's development, the script and the actors' schedules.

What About Milap Zaveri's Recent Films?

After Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Milap Zaveri was associated with other projects, including Masti 4 and Tera Yaar Hoon Main.

According to the supplied report, these films did not achieve comparable box office success. The continued interest in Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat could therefore make a sequel an appealing prospect, provided the makers find the right story to continue the franchise.

However, the creative team will need to balance audience expectations with the challenge of developing a fresh narrative that can stand on its own.

When Will Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2 Be Released?

At present, there is no confirmed release date for Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2. The director's comments indicate an intention to explore a sequel, but the project still requires an official announcement before its production status and timeline can be established.

Fans should watch for updates from the filmmakers and cast regarding the script, shooting schedule and possible release window.

The Bottom Line

The possibility of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat 2 has generated fresh excitement among fans of Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. Milap Zaveri's reported comments suggest that discussions have taken place and that he is interested in continuing the story when the time is right.

For now, a sequel remains a possibility rather than a formally confirmed production. If the project moves ahead with the original lead pair, it could bring back a combination that audiences clearly want to see again.
