Director Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar 2 continues to make headlines, not only for its massive box office success but also for its widely praised casting. Fans and critics alike have applauded the film’s ensemble, calling it one of the most perfectly cast projects in recent times. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who handled the casting for both parts of the franchise, has played a key role in assembling the lineup.
One of the standout performers in the film is Manav Gohil, who portrays Sushant Bansal, an officer responsible for training spies. His character is instrumental in shaping Ranveer Singh’s role, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, before the latter’s mission to Pakistan.
Unexpected Entry Into the Film
In a recent interview, Manav Gohil revealed that his journey into Dhurandhar 2 was anything but conventional. Surprisingly, the actor did not go through an audition process and agreed to the project without knowing key details about it.
He shared that he was on a family vacation in Mussoorie when he received a call from Mukesh Chhabra. The casting director simply asked if he had available dates and mentioned an upcoming trip to Bangkok. With minimal discussion and no formal briefing about the film, Gohil agreed to come on board.
Reflecting on the experience, the actor described it as unusual, noting that he joined the project at the last moment without clarity about the story, director, or co-stars. Despite initial uncertainty, he said everything eventually fell into place, and he now feels grateful for the opportunity.
Box Office Success Continues
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 is performing exceptionally well at the global box office. The Ranveer Singh-led film has reportedly crossed ₹900 crore worldwide within just six days of release. In India alone, it has achieved approximately ₹575 crore in net collections, cementing its status as a blockbuster.
