BSP Rally: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party at a rally in Lucknow. She said that when they (the Samajwadi Party) are in government, they neither remember the PDA, nor Kanshi Ram's birth anniversary nor his death anniversary.

Mayawati Rally in Lucknow: On Thursday (October 9), a large rally was held in the capital Lucknow on the death anniversary of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) founder Kanshi Ram. BSP supremo Mayawati demonstrated her strength through this rally. A huge crowd gathered at the rally in Lucknow. While addressing the workers, Mayawati praised the Yogi government, while also launching verbal attacks on the Samajwadi Party.

Mayawati said that the current BJP government is not like the Samajwadi Party. She accused the SP of embezzling money for tickets to the Kanshi Ram Sthal, saying the BJP did not do so. The BSP chief also thanked the Yogi government for this.

'SP withheld the ticket money...'

Addressing a rally in Lucknow, Mayawati said, "When our government was in power in Uttar Pradesh, this memorial was built in honour of Kanshi Ram. At that time, our government had made a provision that we would collect tickets from those coming here. This money would be used for the maintenance of the memorials and parks built in Lucknow. But the sad thing is that when the SP government was in power here, the ticket money was withheld. The condition had become very dilapidated."

What did she say while praising the Yogi government?

He said, "I wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh requesting that the ticket money be used for maintenance. The current BJP government of Uttar Pradesh took cognizance of this matter and promised us that whatever money comes through tickets will be used for the maintenance of these places, hence our party is grateful to them (BJP government)."

Mayawati lashed out and said that when they (Samajwadi Party) are in the government, they neither remember PDA, nor Kanshi Ram ji's birth anniversary nor death anniversary, but when they are out of power, Samajwadi Party remembers that we should hold a seminar.

Mayawati questions SP

She said, "I want to ask Akhilesh Yadav, if you had such respect for Kanshi Ram, then when we were in power in Uttar Pradesh, we created a district called Kasganj in the Aligarh division, and that district was named after Kanshi Ram. Why did the Samajwadi Party change its name as soon as it came to power? We named numerous institutions after Kanshi Ram and launched numerous schemes, which the Samajwadi Party discontinued as soon as it came to power. If this isn't their double standards, then what is?"

The BSP supremo said that Babasaheb Dr. BR Ambedkar had said that political power in the country is the key through which these communities can solve all their problems. She said that the Constitution was trampled upon during the Emergency. Babasaheb was not allowed to enter Parliament. Babasaheb was not awarded the Bharat Ratna.

He said that forming a BSP government is crucial. The EVM system could be abolished. There have been allegations of EVM rigging. Dalit votes are being divided. Selfish members of society are being exploited. We must be wary of such selfish individuals.
