A shocking case of sexual assault involving a minor has emerged from Bijnor district, where an eighth-grade student was allegedly raped by her classmate’s father after being lured into a car on the pretext of being dropped at school. The incident took place in the Syohara police station area, prompting swift police action and the arrest of the accused under stringent legal provisions.

According to police officials, the victim is a minor who lives in a village under Syohara police station limits and studies at an inter-college near her home. On the morning of December 17, she left her house as usual to attend school. While she was walking to her school, a man identified as Laiq—father of one of her classmates—approached her in a car.

Trusting him due to his familiarity, the girl sat inside the vehicle after he assured her that he would drop her safely at school. However, instead of heading towards the school, the accused allegedly drove her to Moradabad.

Police sources stated that during the journey, the accused attempted to gain the child’s confidence. In Moradabad, he bought her food items, including chole chawal, pastries, and cold drinks. After spending some time there, he brought her back towards Syohara.

Upon returning, the accused allegedly took the minor to a house in the Syohara area, where he committed rape. The victim later told police that the accused threatened her with death and warned that he would harm her family if she revealed the incident to anyone.

After committing the crime, Laiq allegedly abandoned the girl at a deserted spot on Moradabad Road and fled from the scene. The traumatized child somehow managed to reach her home, where she broke down and narrated the entire incident to her mother.
