Mastermind Tom had connections with China

The investigation revealed that the true mastermind of this entire racket was a man named Tom, based in China. He provided instructions to Indian operatives via Telegram. Ashish Kumar, alias Jack, a resident of Begusarai, Bihar, was Tom's primary agent. Tom paid the accused a 1 to 1.5% commission on each illegal transaction. The accused had set up a fake office in Noida to disguise themselves as a legitimate investment firm.

How did Delhi's CA get trapped?

The cyber fraudsters added the victim chartered accountant to a Telegram group and lured him with huge daily profits through 'Buy Today - Sell Tomorrow' (BTST) and explosive IPO ratings.

  1. Fake Website: They stock.durocaspitall.com were lured into investing on a fake website called.
  2. Huge investment: Lured by the promise of profits, the CA invested ₹47,23,015 within two months.
  3. Threat Game: When the victim tried to withdraw the money, the accused threatened him with legal threats and collected more money in the name of withdrawing the money.

Account and money manipulation in 7 banks

The accused devised a complex web to conceal the defrauded funds. They opened current accounts in the names of fictitious firms at seven reputable banks, including IndusInd, HDFC, Yes Bank, and IDFC First. Shell companies like Harshita Furniture and Bubai Instant Shop were used to launder the money.
