Bengaluru Police Arrest Man for Stealing Women’s Undergarments, Shocking Evidence Found on Phone

In a bizarre incident from Bengaluru, police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly stealing women’s undergarments from residential areas, leaving local residents disturbed and investigators stunned by what they discovered during the probe.

The accused has been identified as Amal N. Aji, a native of Kerala. According to officials from Hebbagodi Police, the man had been active in the Vidya Nagar area for an extended period.

Police said Amal would regularly roam residential neighborhoods, keeping an eye on houses where women had left clothes to dry on balconies or terraces. Taking advantage of moments when no one was around, he would steal women’s undergarments and escape unnoticed. The repeated thefts caused distress among local women, though the culprit initially remained unidentified.

The case came to light on Wednesday after the Hoysala Police Patrol received a report of suspicious activity in the area. Acting on the tip-off, the patrol team apprehended the suspect and conducted a preliminary check of his mobile phone.

During the examination, police reportedly found multiple photos and videos of the accused wearing the stolen clothing. A subsequent search of his rented room led to the recovery of a large collection of women’s undergarments, believed to have been stolen from nearby homes.

Investigators have indicated that the accused may be suffering from a mental health condition, as his actions went beyond theft and involved recording himself wearing the stolen items. Further medical evaluation and investigation are underway to determine the full circumstances of the case.
