Asked for name in Agra... and shot in the chest! Said- "If you don't take revenge of 26 by 2600, then you are not a son of Mother India"
A horrific incident shook the city late Wednesday night in Tajganj police station area of Agra. Outside a restaurant in Nunihai area, three scooty-riding youths first shot a young man after asking his name, then also targeted his friend. After this incident, many videos are going viral on social media, in which it is being claimed that the attacker shot the victim after asking his name. However, the police have completely rejected these claims and termed them as rumours.
Gulfam died as soon as he was shot, his companion was also a victim of the attack
According to eyewitness Saif Ali, he and his friend Gulfam were closing the restaurant when three youths arrived there on a scooter. Two of them started talking to Gulfam and then one of them shot him in the chest with a pistol. Gulfam fell on the ground. When Saif came to save him, the attackers shot him too, but he somehow managed to save his life and run away.

The attacker fled after the incident, gave a threat in the video
Soon after the incident, a video went viral on social media in which the alleged attacker Manoj Chaudhary took responsibility for the murder and said, "If I don't take revenge of 26 by 2600 then I am not the son of Mother India." This statement has made the matter more serious. Police is investigating the authenticity of this video.
Panic in the area, four teams are searching
Hearing the sound of firing, the people nearby came out and immediately informed the police. The injured Gulfam was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The police have registered a case of murder and started investigation. Four teams have been formed to search for the attackers and the CCTV footage of the surrounding area is also being scanned.
Police appeal on rumours
Agra police has called the theory of murder by asking names going viral on social media a rumour and has appealed to people not to believe in false news. It has also assured that the accused will be arrested soon.
