Ranbir Kapoor’s fans are eagerly waiting for his next big-screen explosion. While Animal released in 2023, the craze around the film has not faded. The actor has since been flooded with major projects. He has already wrapped the first part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and is currently busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War. But before these reach theatres next year, all eyes are on the highly anticipated sequel — Animal Park.
What’s Brewing With Animal Park?
Ranbir’s Animal became a blockbuster in 2023, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri, while giving Bobby Deol a career-defining role. The film went on to collect over ₹900 crore worldwide, despite clashing with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. Naturally, excitement for its sequel is sky-high.
According to reports, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already chalked out a plan for Animal Park. Currently, he is working on Prabhas’ much-awaited film Spirit, a supernatural thriller. The film is expected to be shot in a single schedule lasting around six months. Once this wraps up, Vanga is expected to shift full focus to Animal Park with Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor and Vanga’s Next Collaboration
Industry insiders reveal that the work on Animal Park could begin by mid-2026, after Ranbir finishes Bhansali’s Love and War. Though no official announcement has been made yet, social media is buzzing with speculation about the sequel’s storyline and casting.
There’s also a strong buzz that Bobby Deol may not return for the second part, as his character arc concluded in Animal. This has left fans wondering what new conflicts and characters Vanga will introduce to take the saga forward.
Vanga’s 6-Month Prep Before the Sequel
For now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is fully invested in Spirit. Reports suggest that Prabhas will undergo a complete transformation — losing weight, changing his hairstyle, and adopting a fresh style of clothing never seen before. The director has reserved six months exclusively for this project, after which his roadmap is clear: straight into Animal Park.
A Franchise in the Making
With Animal turning Ranbir into a mass-action star and cementing Vanga’s reputation as a filmmaker who blends raw violence with deep emotions, expectations from the sequel are immense. If the reports are true, Animal Park could be Ranbir’s biggest crowd-puller yet — a film that balances mass appeal with intense storytelling.
What Fans Can Expect
While the official details are under wraps, fans can look forward to:
-
Ranbir Kapoor’s return as the fierce, emotionally complex protagonist.
-
A new set of characters replacing Bobby Deol’s antagonist arc.
-
Vanga’s trademark storytelling that combines family drama, romance, and brutal action.
Release Speculations
Though Animal Park is yet to be officially announced, trade experts believe the film may go on floors by mid-2026, with a possible 2027 theatrical release. Until then, audiences can enjoy Ranbir in Ramayana and Love and War, both slated for 2026.
