Allu Arjun’s 800-Crore Mega Film: Vijay Sethupathi Joins as Villain, Deepika Padukone to Play Warrior

Director Atlee is bringing together one of the biggest collaborations in Indian cinema with Allu Arjun in the lead. Touted to be among the most expensive films ever made, the project carries a budget of over ₹800 crore, with support from Hollywood technicians. Its tentative title is AA22xA6.

Deepika Padukone’s 100-Day Role

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has already confirmed her participation and will begin shooting from November. Reports say she has allotted 100 days for the film, where she will appear in a fierce warrior avatar. Her look and special weaponry are being designed exclusively for the project. This will mark her major comeback on the big screen after motherhood, alongside her film King.

Vijay Sethupathi as the Villain

The film gets even bigger with the entry of Vijay Sethupathi, who has reportedly been cast in a key antagonist role. According to Valai Pechu, he has already started shooting in Mumbai, though the makers are yet to officially announce his inclusion.

Vijay Sethupathi, hailed for his performance as the menacing villain in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (2023), received widespread acclaim as the film crossed ₹1000 crore worldwide. His 2024 film Maharaj also impressed audiences, collecting over ₹100 crore after a slow start. His presence is expected to be a major USP in Atlee’s parallel-universe genre spectacle.

A Historic Collaboration

With Atlee’s box office record—his previous films have shattered earnings, including Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Allu Arjun’s own Pushpa franchise crossing ₹1800 crore—this new partnership is being seen as a pan-India cinematic event.

The combination of Allu Arjun’s star power, Deepika’s warrior role, and Vijay Sethupathi’s villainy is expected to deliver one of the most ambitious films in Indian cinema history.
