Akshay Kumar Denies Playing Maharishi Valmiki; Viral Trailer Found to Be AI-Generated

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is currently busy with multiple film projects. Recently, a trailer went viral showing Akshay in the role of Maharishi Valmiki, sparking controversy in Punjab. In Amritsar, the Adi Valmiki Ambedkar Organisation protested against the alleged film and demanded a ban.
However, Akshay Kumar has clarified that he is not involved in the trailer. The viral videos were created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) without his consent.
Akshay Reacts
Akshay shared a statement on Instagram, calling the reports fake. He wrote:
"Recently, I came across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer, in which I am shown playing the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI."
He also urged media organizations to verify content before reporting, highlighting the dangers of misinformation in the era of AI-generated content.
Celebrity Concerns About AI Misuse
The actor’s warning comes amid growing concerns about AI misuse. Fake photos and videos of celebrities are being circulated widely. Actor Varun Dhawan recently called for a law to regulate such content, stressing the need for accountability in the age of AI.
