UIDAI is soon adding new features to the Aadhaar card AI Mitra chatbot. This AI chatbot will now support Hindi and English, as well as other Indian languages. It will also call people to inquire about Aadhaar updates, preventing fraud.
What is Aadhaar AI Mitra: The big tension of crores of Indians is about to end. To put a stop to frauds related to their Aadhaar card, new features can be introduced in 'Aadhaar AI Mitra' soon. This is a chatbot which has been developed to answer Aadhaar related questions. Now apart from Hindi and English, the facility of talking in other Indian languages is being added to it. Besides this, it will call and ask questions to those people who go to the bank or Aadhaar centre for Aadhaar related work. This will ensure that no Aadhaar user is cheated. The features of Aadhaar AI Mitra have been displayed in the UIDAI pavilion at the India AI Impact Summit.
How does Aadhaar AI Mitra work?

At the UIDAI pavilion at the India AI Impact Summit, NBT Tech was told that citizens can currently access general Aadhaar-related information by talking to this chatbot. Currently, it speaks in English and Hindi, but more Indian languages will soon be added. At the pavilion, we heard the Aadhaar AI Mitra speaking in Bengali.
What's new in 'Aadhaar AI Mitra'

According to reports, in addition to conversations in Indian languages, the "Aadhaar AI Mitra" may soon include an AI chatbot calling feature. The AI chatbot will call any user who has visited the bank for Aadhaar authentication or has requested an Aadhaar-related update.
The AI chatbot will confirm over the phone whether the user has updated the details. This will be useful in preventing users from tampering with their data at a bank or Aadhaar center if they haven't updated their details.

When will the new facility arrive?
At the UIDAI pavilion, we were told that work is underway to add new features to the AI chatbot. These features will be rolled out very soon, after which people will begin to benefit from them. In other Aadhaar-related news, UIDAI reported that its new Aadhaar app has received nearly 14 million downloads. 100,000 people are downloading the app every day.
