The central and state governments across the country are implementing numerous schemes for the benefit of women. Now, ahead of the state assembly elections, the Punjab government has launched a new scheme for women.

The Bhagwant Singh Mann government in Punjab has now launched the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Scheme, under which more than 7.5 million women have registered so far. Under this scheme, the Punjab government will provide financial assistance of 1,000 rupees per month to eligible women over the age of 18.

Under the scheme, the government will provide ₹1,500 per month to women from the Scheduled Caste (SC) community. According to government data, approximately 97% of women in the state are expected to be eligible for this scheme. Eligible women should apply soon. The monthly amount will prove very useful for women.
