Four masked miscreants gang raped a ninety-year-old woman living alone in a field here. After the crime, the criminals also tried to kill her by throwing her along with her cot into a well, but on hearing the sound of a vehicle nearby, the accused fled from the spot. The victim remained lying in the field in a serious condition the whole night and kept on suffering for about twelve hours. This horrific incident came to light when the villagers reached the field on Friday morning.

Elderly woman living alone
According to reports, the 90-year-old woman lives alone in a small house on her farm. On Thursday night, she went to sleep after dinner as usual. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was around, four masked men entered the house late at night. According to the victim, all four accused had their faces covered with cloth. They approached her directly and grabbed her.

Cloth stuffed in mouth, raped one by one
The elderly woman said that when she tried to resist, the accused stuffed a cloth into her mouth. Then, all four of them raped her one by one. Due to her age and physical weakness, she was unable to resist them. She suffered serious injuries and lost a lot of blood.

The plan was to kill her by throwing her into a well
According to the victim, after the incident, the accused confided in each other that they should throw her into the well. The four then picked up the elderly woman, along with her cot, and began carrying her toward the well. Meanwhile, they heard the sound of a vehicle or people nearby, which frightened them and they fled, leaving the woman in the field.

In the morning, villagers saw her covered in blood
After the incident, the victim fell unconscious and remained there for the entire night. On Friday morning, some people arrived at the farm to buy straw. They found the woman lying on a cot outside the hut, covered in blood. The villagers were alarmed and immediately informed the police and the woman’s family.

Treatment continues in the hospital
Upon receiving the information, police and family members arrived at the scene, and the elderly woman was immediately taken to Punasa Hospital. Doctors reported that the woman suffered serious injuries to her genitals and was bleeding profusely. She is currently undergoing treatment.

Tried to enter the house before
The victim’s daughter said that some people had broken into the farmhouse a few days earlier, but nothing was stolen at that time. The family suspects the crime may have been committed by people who knew the elderly woman lived alone on the farm.

According to Punasa Sub-Divisional Officer (SDOP) Manohar Gawli, a serious sexual assault has been reported against a woman. Given the victim’s condition, a female police officer was sent to the hospital to record her statement. Based on the victim’s statement, a case was registered against four unidentified suspects at around 3 am on Friday night. Police are searching for the suspects and are investigating the surrounding areas.
