However, these are proposed figures. The final fitment factor for the Eighth Pay Commission has not yet been finalized.

What will be the salary of a Level 4 employee?
Currently, according to the 7th Pay Commission, the starting basic salary for a Level 4 employee is ₹25,500. Applying various fitment factors results in these figures.

What will be the basic salary of Level 5 employees?

The current starting basic salary for Level 5 employees is ₹29,200. Based on this, the potential salary would be as follows.

4 Fitment Factor – Rs 1,16,800

3.833 Fitment Factor – Rs 1,11,923.60, i.e. approximately Rs 1,11,924

3.80 Fitment Factor – Rs 1,10,960

When will the Eighth Pay Commission be implemented?
It is reported that the Eighth Pay Commission has been given an initial 18-month deadline to submit its report. After that, the central government will study the report and make further decisions. Although it is being discussed to implement it from January 2026, the final decision regarding the actual implementation date and arrears will be made by the government.
