Dr. Vineeta Arora's husband, Dr. Atul Arora, told the police that he was in his parents' room that night. He heard his wife Vineeta screaming. As he exited the room, he saw two men pointing a pistol at his wife's head.

The criminals took her and her parents hostage. During the attack, Dr. Vinita was stabbed in the head and killed. They fled with gold and silver jewelry and approximately 1.5 lakh rupees. Dr. Atul Arora managed to save his life by jumping from the roof and shouting, but by then the criminals had fled.

Maid Poonam reveals all the secrets

The police launched a vigorous investigation. They detained the housekeeper, Poonam, and began questioning her. Poonam spilled the beans. The conspiracy was then exposed. Poonam and her lover, Vikram, had plotted the entire crime.

Vikram suspected he couldn't carry out the crime alone, so he enlisted Vikramjeet alias Bittu, Sunil Kumar, and Manish Kumar. Five people, including the maid Poonam, carried out the crime.

After nearly three years of trial, the court convicted Poonam, Vikram, Vikramjeet, Sunil Kumar, and Manish Kumar and sentenced them to death. The court declared the case rarest of the rare. The convicts now have 60 days to challenge the verdict in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

51 witnesses and 30 months of hearing

The case was heard for 30 months. 51 witnesses appeared. Based on the statements of 27 witnesses and solid evidence, the court sentenced all five accused to death. It should be noted that on December 15th, after three days of deliberations, the court convicted all five accused.

What did the doctor's husband say about the court's decision?

Dr. Vineeta's husband, Dr. Atul Arora, said, "God is late, but not dark." Dr. Atul Arora was present in the courtroom throughout the sentencing hearing on Saturday, but went outside to another room when the final sentence was announced.
