The dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have been announced, voting will take place from 19 April to 1 June 2024 and the results will be declared on 4 June. After the announcement of the dates, the Election Commission of India is gearing up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Political parties are running various campaigns to woo people, but often people's names are removed from the voter list due to various reasons.

There can be many reasons behind the removal of names from the voter list. In such a situation, it is important for people to check whether their name is included in the voter list before the election dates arrive. Checking your name in the voter list is a simple process that can be done from home. To check your name in the voter list, you have to follow some simple steps.

Before checking your name in the voter list, you must have some important documents such as your Voter ID card on which EPIC number (Electors Photo Identification Card) is written. Additionally, you will need to provide details like your name, age, date of birth, district, and assembly constituency to check your name in the voter list.

Method to check names in the voter list:

The first option is Search by Details:

First of all, search “Voters Service Portal” or visit electoralsearch.eci.gov.in on Google.

On this government website, you will get three options to check your name in the voter list.

The first option to check your name in the voter list is to enter your details through Search by Details. You will be asked to provide necessary information like state, language, full name, date of birth, age, gender, district, and assembly constituency. After entering the details you have to enter the captcha code and click on the search button.

The second option is Search by EPIC:

If you choose this option, you will need to select the language first.

After selecting the language, enter your EPIC number, state, and captcha code to search.

The third option is Search by Mobile:

Select this option, and select the state and language.

After entering all the details including your mobile number enter the captcha code and click on the “Send OTP” option.

You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. After entering the OTP, click on the search option on the screen to find out whether your name is included in the voter list or not.
