Recently the Central Government has started the PM Solar Home Scheme, under which solar panels will be installed on one crore houses. Through this solar panel scheme, 300 units of free electricity per month will be provided to one crore families.

Till now many people may not know about it, hence they think about how much electricity can be generated in a day from solar panels.

For your information, let us tell you that the amount of electricity generated by solar panels depends on their size and sunlight. The more sunlight there is, the more efficient the solar panel will be.

If you have installed a 400-watt solar panel and there is continuous sunlight for 6 hours, then you can generate 2.4 kWh of electricity daily. This is more than two units.

This means you can produce up to two units of electricity per day, which works out to 60 units of electricity per month. Based on this you can calculate the cost of electricity per unit.

If you install one-kilowatt solar panel under the Solar Home Scheme, you can generate about 150 units of electricity every month. That means about 5 units of electricity will be produced daily.
