Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced PM Surya Ghar Yojana to install solar panels across the country. Under this scheme, rooftop solar panels will be installed on the roofs of one crore houses and these families will also get 300 units of free electricity every month. Applications for this scheme have started and a survey is also being conducted. Many people have questions regarding this free electricity scheme as to how the solar panels will be installed. Today we give you the answer to this question.

First Step:

The first step is to apply under PM Surya Ghar Yojana. For registration, you have to go to the official website of PM Surya Ghar Yojana pmsuryagarh.gov.in. Then, you have to fill out a form and submit it.

Step 2:

In the second step, your application will be sent to the Discom. Technical inspection will be conducted, and if all the details are correct, the application will be accepted. If there is any discrepancy it will be sent back for correction.

Step Three:

In the third step, it is time for vendor and plant setup. You have to sign an agreement with a registered seller, after which the process of installing solar panels begins. The PM Surya Yojana website provides you with a list of vendors.

Step 4:

After plant installation, you will have to submit its details. You have to upload a photo of the plant on the portal. This process is required for inspection, so be sure to complete it.

Step Five:

In the fifth step, an inspection takes place, and a net meter is installed. After completing this process you can apply for subsidy. This includes providing bank details and issuing cancelled cheques. If everything is found correct then the subsidy will come to your account within a few days.
