If scammers are using your name to obtain a SIM card, it can be detected. How to detect SIM card scam:

Here you have to enter your mobile number and type the captcha. For this, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number, which you will have to enter. When you share the OTP, all the information will appear on the screen. Here you will know how many SIM cards have been issued in your name.

If you find out that someone is using a SIM card in your name, you can report that number and also file a complaint. After this, the government will investigate the numbers which are running in your name and against which you have complained. If it is issued fraudulently then the government will block that number.

Recently, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has changed the rules regarding SIM cards. Under these rules, the SIM card cannot be ported to any other company for 7 days after the SIM swap. This rule will come into effect from July 1.
