YouTube has launched a sleep timer feature for all users
YouTube has announced several updates aimed at improving the user experience, which is mainly inspired by user feedback.
According to GSM Arena, the most notable changes include the introduction of an improved adjustable playback speed and the expansion of the sleep timer feature for all users.
YouTube is now allowing users to modify playback speed in more precise increments of 0.05, which is a significant improvement over the previous 0.25 increments.
Users can still enjoy videos at up to 2x speed, but this new feature offers more control for those who want to customize their viewing experience.
Sleep Timer, which was previously exclusive to premium subscribers, is now available to all users. This feature enables viewers to pause playback after a specific interval: 10, 15, 20, 30, or 45 minutes, or even after an hour. Additionally, according to GSM Arena, users can select a timer option to end playback when the current video ends.
YouTube also announced improvements for users browsing in landscape mode on iOS devices, which will be rolled out later this year.
