Apple showed off several new updates for its devices on the first day of its annual developer conference WWDC 2024. As rumored, it turned out to be true - the inclusion of artificial intelligence (AI) in the iOS 18 update received the most attention at the event. At the event, Apple also said that it would work with OpenAI to include its ChatGPT in its devices for use as a chatbot. But Elon Musk did not like this news very much.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk looked very angry on Twitter. He expressed his displeasure over the collaboration between OpenAI and Apple. He wrote that if OpenAI's software comes in the iPhone's operating system, then no one in his companies will be allowed to use Apple devices. Replying to Apple CEO Tim Cook, he wrote, 'I don't want this (Apple Intelligence). Either you stop this scary spyware, or else bringing Apple devices to any of my companies is prohibited.'

Elon Musk also said that he will ensure that there are no Apple devices in his office building. He said, 'And visitors coming in will also have to leave their Apple devices at the door, where they will be locked in a special box that blocks the signal.'

Why is Elon Musk protesting?

Elon Musk did not like it at all that Apple was working with OpenAI to use their chatbot! He posted many memes and other things on X to show that according to him this chatbot is spy software. He wrote in one post, 'It is absurd that Apple cannot create its artificial intelligence, but it can ensure that OpenAI will keep your information and privacy safe. Apple has no idea what is happening when it gives your information to OpenAI. They are deceiving you.'

Elon Musk suspects that Apple will steal your information using OpenAI's chatbot. According to him, OpenAI uses people's personal information to improve its chatbot and describes it as "making it special for you". For this reason, if Apple uses ChatGPT in its devices, it can steal your phone's information. This is nothing new, OpenAI has been in the news earlier also regarding users' information.
