According to a recent report, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow iPhone users to have short video conversations with each other.

WAbetainfo reports that a new "video messaging" feature is being developed for WhatsApp, which will enable users to send video messages in the same way they can send audio messages by clicking on the microphone icon in the chat window.

Similar to Telegram's video note function, the new video message option in WhatsApp will allow users to record and send short videos (up to 60 seconds in length) to their contacts.

UI

The feature is reportedly being developed for the WhatsApp iOS app right now and will be available to everyone in beta testing as well as in future updates of WhatsApp.

Video messages on WhatsApp work in a similar way to voice notes. But, the communication capabilities of the platform will be enhanced in other ways as a result.

IO

Through video messaging on WhatsApp, users will be able to express their feelings and expressions better than through video messaging alone. Video messaging will provide a more comprehensive and effective way of communication.

WhatsApp will keep end-to-end encryption for video chats. No one, not even WhatsApp or Meta or proxy service, will be able to see the exchanged videos.
