WhatsApp is the most used messaging platform across the world. Millions of users rely on Meta's proprietary messaging platform for everyday conversations. WhatsApp adds new features for iOS and Android users from time to time and according to the latest report from WABetaInfo, the platform is working on a useful tool for Android users. According to the report, WhatsApp is working on a new feature – “Filter Group Chat”. The feature will reportedly give users better control over their chats, making it easier to manage and prioritize their messages.

According to WABetaInfo, the new feature will allow users to leave personal chats and get a list of their groups. Users will also notice that the "Personal" filter has been renamed "Contacts" to better differentiate between personal and group chats, as the "Personal" filter previously included Groups and Communities.

The new "Contacts" filter, on the other hand, will only include personal chats. Additionally, the "Business" filter has been removed, the report said.

Since users often join multiple groups for different purposes such as work, family, friends, or hobbies – this filter will allow them to quickly access and manage their group chats, knowing that this filter will not include specific group chats.
