Meta-owned WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new feature called 'Status Archive' for businesses for beta testers on Android.

According to WABetaInfo, status updates will be archived on users' devices 24 hours after the feature is enabled.

In addition, users can also manage their archive preferences and view their archive collection directly from the menu within the Status tab.

As the archive is always private, only the business can see its archive status updates.

Furthermore, the report states that this feature can be very useful for businesses as it will allow them to republish a status from their archive and share it again with their customers to improve their business.

Status updates will be stored on the device for 30 days, and businesses will still be able to create ads or share status updates to Facebook or Instagram until they expire in the archive.
