To file an online complaint against fake WhatsApp calls or messages, you have to follow these steps

  • Visit Sancharsathi website (https://sancharsathi.gov.in/).
  • Click on the 'Citizen Centric Services' option.
  • Here click on the option of 'Report Suspected Fraud Communication' i.e. 'Chakshu'.
  • After this click on the 'Continue for Reporting' option.
  • A form will appear where you can enter the details of the fake WhatsApp call/message.
  • Select the appropriate option from the cheat list.
  • Upload screenshot of fake call/message on WhatsApp.
  • Select the date and time of the fake call/message on WhatsApp.
  • Write the details of the complaint and enter your name and mobile number.
  • Complete the captcha code and OTP verification, then submit.
  • Your complaint will be registered.
