If water enters the laptop, it can get damaged. In such a situation, some people make such mistakes which increase the possibility of permanent damage to the laptop. If rainwater has entered your laptop, do not panic. We tell you easy solutions that you can adopt if water enters the laptop. These will help in reducing your losses.

Many times people make the mistake of turning on the laptop immediately after rainwater gets into it. Do not do this. If you turn on the laptop immediately, it can get damaged. If water enters the internal parts of the laptop, it can cause more damage. Instead, try to remove the water from the laptop.

2. Do not move the laptop

When water gets into the laptop, many times people start shaking it vigorously to drain it out. Doing this can cause harm instead of benefit. Instead of draining out the water can go inside. So do not shake the laptop. Instead, put the laptop upside down on a towel to drain out the water.

3. Do not place it near heater

Many times people keep the laptop near a heater to dry it. This should not be done. Keep the laptop in a dry, ventilated room. Do not keep it in direct sunlight or near a heater. You can also keep a silica gel packet under the laptop to absorb water.

4. Do not keep it in rice

When water enters the smartphone, people keep it in a box of rice so that the water can dry up. Many people do the same with laptops. This method may be effective for mobile phones but may not be as beneficial for laptops. Laptops have many ports and vents in which rice grains can get stuck and cause damage. Therefore, do not keep the laptop in rice.

5. Do not rush to turn it on

It may take 24-48 hours for the laptop to dry completely. Do not try to turn it on early. Doing so can damage the laptop. Then you may have to spend a lot of money to get it repaired.
