Apple iOS 18 beta Version: If you use Apple devices then there is good news for you. The second beta version of iOS 18 is going to come soon for developers. It will be released on June 24, 2024. Two special features have been included in this new update - iPhone Mirroring and improved SharePlay screen sharing. Let us tell you about them.

The first feature

is iPhone Mirroring which lets you mirror your iPhone screen to your Mac computer. This means that you will not only be able to see your iPhone screen on your Mac, but you will also be able to see notifications coming on your phone and easily transfer files between the two devices.

The second feature

is the improved SharePlay screen-sharing feature, which now allows you to draw anything on the other person's screen during a video call. You can also control their screen to help them. Both of these new features were not included in the earlier iOS 18 beta version.

This update is also expected to fix some bugs found in the earlier beta version. However, this update still does not include the special artificial intelligence (AI) features that were shown at the WWDC event earlier this month. Apple is planning to include these AI features in the beta version coming later this year.

How to install this update

If you are a developer, you can install beta version 2 of iOS 18 by going to the Settings of your iPhone and then clicking on General > Software Update. If you are already using beta version 1, then you will get this new update on Monday afternoon.

Unlike previous years, now you can try the beta version of iOS 18 without any payment. However, it is important to back up your data before installing any beta software as it may contain some bugs. Along with iOS 18, Apple may also release new beta versions of iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18, visionOS 2, and watchOS 11 on Monday. The public beta of iOS 18 will come in July and the final version will be launched for all users in September. Although these new features will be available in most countries, the Apple Intelligence feature will not be released in the European Union this year due to rules.
