Tech update: MediaTek Launches Flagship Processor Dimensity 9000, Know Its Features

Major chipset maker MediaTek has launched its new flagship processor MediaTek Dimensity 9000. The Dimensity 9000 will compete directly with Qualcomm's flagship processor. The Dimensity 9000 is the world's first mobile chipset to be built on a 4nm process. It has 10 core Arm Mali-G710 GPU and six 5th generation APUs with support for artificial intelligence.

The Dimensity 9000 is the world's first mobile processor that supports a 320-megapixel lens. Phones with this processor will be launched in the first quarter of 2022. The maximum speed of this processor is 3.05GHz. It also supports LPDDR5x 7500Mbps.

The Dimensity 9000 is designed with 18 bit HDR-ISP that lets you record HDR video from up to three cameras simultaneously. This processor will save 4x battery compared to the first version. It is accompanied by ARM Mali-G710 graphics.

This processor will support Full HD Plus display with 180Hz refresh rate. With this, 16 standard technologies have been given for 5G. The speed of this processor will be up to 7Gbps on 5G network. For connectivity, Dimensity 9000 with Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E 2×2, Wireless Stereo Studio and Beidou III-B1 C GNSS support.

MediaTek this week introduced Filogic 130 and Filogic 130A processors for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Microprocessor (MCU), AI Engine, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 have been supported with both these processors. There is also a Power Management Unit (PMU) with these processors. Filogic 130A is an audio digital signal processor with which the voice assistant can be easily connected.
