Jio-Airtel Prepaid Plans Rate: India's telecom companies Reliance Jio and Airtel have increased the rates of their prepaid plans. Now users will have to pay more money to recharge. But, there is good news for the prepaid users of Reliance Jio and Airtel. From July 3, 2024, prepaid mobile recharges from both companies are going to become expensive, but if you are a prepaid customer of these companies, then you have 4 days left to avoid the coming inflation. If you recharge in the next 4 days, then you will get the old rates only. However, this saving is not for postpaid users.

Old rate will be available till July 3

The price of Jio's plans is going to increase by 12 to 25%, while Airtel's plans will become costlier by 11 to 21%. For example, Jio's popular ₹239 plan with 1.5GB data per day will now cost ₹299. The price of this plan has been increased by 25%. Similarly, the price of the year-long data pack of both companies can vary by up to ₹600. Recharges done before July 3 will continue to run at the old rate, even if that plan is discontinued later or becomes more expensive. Therefore, there is a chance of special savings on long-term plans. If you want to recharge for less money, you can do it now.

You can also schedule a recharge.

If you are a Jio or Airtel user, you can schedule the recharge in advance. The recharge for whatever duration you do before July 3 will continue for that duration. This facility is only for Jio and Airtel users. Vodafone Idea users cannot do this. If Vodafone Idea users do this, then all their plans will be activated simultaneously.

Jio users can make up to 50 recharges in advance at a time, whether it is a monthly plan or an annual plan. However, Airtel has not yet told how many recharges can be scheduled in it. There is no change in Airtel's unlimited 5G data offer, but Jio has changed the rules for its unlimited 5G offer. Now Jio users will have to recharge for a plan of at least 2GB only then they will get unlimited 5G data.
