Those who have enabled this security feature using the text option will lose it till March 19, 2023, the company has confirmed. But, you needn't worry, given that people can still set up two-factor authentication for free and won't even need to buy a subscription. But, before that, let's take a look at why this feature is so important that those who haven't used it yet should have it.

Why is Two Factor Authentication (2FA) important?

Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is an important feature that a user must enable in order to add additional security to each social media account or other services. Once the feature is enabled, you will need to verify your identity again by providing a secondary security number to log in to the account. A 2FA password is something that only you have and therefore, doubles the security of any account you have. Once 2FA is enabled, you must first log in using your regular password and then enter an additional security number to access your account on any device.
