You have to add the name of the HoF to easily update the address on the Aadhaar Card. Its process is very easy.

Aadhaar Card: UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has introduced a resident-friendly facility to easily update the address on Aadhaar Card. People can update the address on their Aadhaar card online with the permission of the Head of the Family (HoF). Aadhaar The purpose of HoF-based online address updates in India is to help the relative(s) of a resident who does not have any address proof documents in their name or does not have the correct address mentioned in it.

If you do not know about the Head of the Family of the Aadhaar card, then tell them that anyone above 18 years of age can be HoF. After updating HoF in your Aadhaar card you will be able to update your address without address proof.

Documents required to update HoF in Aadhaar Card

To update the HoF in the Aadhaar Card, the name of the applicant, the name of the HoF, and proof of relationship between the two, proof of relationship documents like ration card, mark sheet, marriage certificate, passport, etc. will have to be submitted. After this HoF will approve the update through OTP on the registered phone number.

UIDAI allows residents to submit a self-declaration if they do not have any document to prove their relationship with the HoF. Follow the steps mentioned below to update HoF in your Aadhaar card.

How to update HoF in Aadhaar Card

  1. For this, first, go to your Aadhaar portal.
  2. After this go to the Update Aadhaar tab.
  3. Now enter the valid HoF Aadhaar number. Due to the privacy of HoF, no other details will appear on your screen.
  4. After this, you will have to submit any document to prove the relationship.
  5. Then you will get a Service Request Number (SRN). However, before that, you have to do a transaction of Rs 50.
  6. Now the HoF will be informed about it through a message.

If the HOF accepts the request and signs in to the My Aadhaar portal within 30 days of the receipt of the notification, the request will be processed.
