WhatsApp recently announced a new feature called "Favorite Chat Filter". This feature was given to some users for testing but it is not working properly. According to reports, the app crashed due to this update. Some users reported that after updating WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.24.12.7, both WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business crashed on their phones and they were unable to use them.

The report also states that users also faced crashes while making or receiving calls, which further hindered their ability to connect with contacts and use the app effectively. These issues became quite annoying for users as they were unable to access their chats or make calls, which affected their daily conversations. However, it is important to note that such problems are common when using beta versions as these are not fully-fledged releases.

How to fix bugs?

So far, this problem has only happened to a few users, called "beta testers". These users said that they tried restarting the phone or closing the app but it was of no use. A new update was needed to completely fix this problem, as reported by WABetaInfo.

There is good news for WhatsApp beta testers who were facing the problem of app crashing. After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.12.15 update from the Google Play Store, this problem has been fixed. This means that users can now install this update and get rid of the problem of opening the app and making calls.
