Amazon Great Indian Festival sale has been announced. This festival season sale is starting from 3rd October. In which you can expect to find a variety of great deals including great discount offers. So that customers will be able to buy the product cheaply. We talked to Manish Tewari, Vice President, Amazon India, about what is special about Amazon's festival season sale this time, which is as follows-

What is special for customers in this Amazon happiness box?

Many of our customers come from small towns who prefer to shop in the local language. In such a situation, this time customers will be able to shop in many languages. Amazon was first available in English and Hindi. However, this time we have added Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages ​​apart from Hindi, English. You will also be able to shop in Marathi and Bengali. Also, this time we are providing the facility of shopping in Hindi along with English from Alexa. This time we have increased the warehouse capacity to 40 percent. We now have around 43 million cubic feet of warehouse capacity. We have opened two warehouses in Lucknow. Work will be done to improve the shopping and delivery experience.

Also, this time around 1,10,000 season workers has been hired for Diwali delivery. This year's festival season will see around 1000 new product launches. The electronic company, grocery companies are launching new products. Also, sellers have partnered with HDFC Bank. Due to which customers will get many offers. Also, facilities like no-cost EMI, Buy Now Pay Later will be provided. Overall, this time the product can be purchased at convenient shopping, fast delivery, and affordable price point. 

What are your goals for this year's festival season?

We do not talk about products or revenue. Our entire focus is on delivering the right products with fast delivery to our customers. Along with this, efforts will be made to give a great shopping experience. So that more and more new customers join with us. Apart from this, the sellers should be benefited, so that in the coming days, more sellers should work with us.

What are you expecting regarding the demand this festive season?

We are expecting good demand this season. Due to the preparedness and infrastructure of the sellers, it is expected that this Diwali is going to be very good for the seller's consumer. Our entire focus is to enhance the online experience of product and customer purchases in remote areas.

How different do you expect the buying pattern to be this festive season?

In the current era, online shopping is being given importance as compared to local shopping. In such a situation, sellers of small towns and cities are coming online. Talking about the shopping trends of the last 12 months, many new categories like personal grooming, sports have been in high demand. Apart from this, the buying pattern of fashion, beauty, and electronics products is expected to remain on top. This time around 65 percent of orders and over 85 percent of new customers are from Tier 2 and smaller areas. More than 85 percent of our traffic comes from mobile.

Shopping is expected to double in the grocery category. Also, in the last few months, there has been a 60 percent increase in unit sales of large appliances and 90 percent in office furniture - chairs, desks, etc. With more than half the demand coming from non-metro and tier 2 cities, the demand for washing machines has seen a 1.5 times increase as compared to March 21.
