Redmi A2 and A2+ launched in India with 5000mAh battery, starting price is just Rs 5,999!

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ phones under its 'A' series in India. The new lineup is the successor to the budget Redmi A1 series. Both phones are entry-level offerings for users under Rs 10,000.

The phones come with a massive 5000mAh battery. Here you can have a look at the price and specifications of the newly launched Redmi A2 and Redmi A2 Plus.

Redmi A2 series specifications

Redmi A2, A2+ flaunts a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen resolution of the panel is 1600 x 720 pixels. There is a leather-textured finish on the back of both phones. Under the hood, the smartphones pack an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 chipset clocked at up to 2.2GHz. The handsets come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that is expandable via microSD card.

Both phones run on Android 13 Clean Stock Experience. For the battery, the Redmi A2 and A2 Plus come with a 5000mAh battery pack with a 10W charger. In terms of optics, the phone sports an 8MP primary lens and secondary lens on the back and a 5MP selfie shooter housed inside the notch. Camera UI features include HDR mode, portrait, HDR mode, time-lapse, and more.

On the connectivity front, the Redmi A2+ comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, an FM radio built-in, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB port for charging and data transfer. For security, the Redmi A2+ comes with a fingerprint reader at the back.

The first cell phone will go live on May 23, 2023. Both phones will be available on, Xiaomi Retail, and Amazon India. The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ come with two years of additional warranty and at-home smartphone service for senior citizens.
