Pan Card: Know How To Get Correction In Pan Card!

Pan Card Correction:  If your name is wrong on the PAN card, then there is no problem with it. This happens many times while making a PAN card. However, now it can be easily corrected. A PAN card is an important document for every Indian, if your name is wrong on your PAN card, then you will need to correct it. For this, we are going to take the necessary steps. 

Follow these steps to apply online:

Visit the Income Tax Department website https://www.incometaxindia.gov.in/

. Click on the "PAN Card Services" tab.

Click on "Changes/Corrections in PAN Card".

Select "Changes or Corrections in Existing PAN Data" from the "Application Type" option.

Enter your PAN number and click on "Submit".

Now you will see a new page. Here you have to fill in the required information to make corrections in your PAN card.

Upload a scanned copy of your Aadhaar card or other valid documents as "Proof of ID" and "Proof of Address".

Pay the "Application Fees".

Click on "Submit"

To apply offline, follow these steps:

Download the application form for change/correction in PAN card from the Income Tax Department website.

Fill out the application form correctly and attach copies of all required documents.

Pay the "Application Fee".

Submit the application form to your nearest Income Tax Department office.

Online application: Rs 85 (including 12.36 per cent service tax)

Offline application: Rs 110 (including 12.36 per cent service tax)

Process to correct name in PAN card

Once you submit your application, the Income Tax Department will scrutinize your application. If your application is accepted, you will receive a receipt for a new PAN card. The new PAN card will be sent to your address within 15 to 30 days of your application.
