OTP frauds: Now there will be no OTP scams, IIT Mandi breaks it, know the details!

In India, people become victims of OTP scams every day. Although the government is making many efforts to stop scams related to OTP, it is not able to stop them completely. Now IIT Mandi has found a solution to this. IIT Mandi has prepared an authentication system with the help of which OTP scams can be stopped. The name of this system is adapID.

adapID Deep Algorithm has been developed in partnership with the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR). The deep algorithm is used in adapID. For information, let us tell you that Deep Algorithm is an IIT Mandi and IIT Kanpur incubated company and its office is in Hyderabad. The research and development office is at IIT Mandi and the partner office is in the United States.

This system has received a patent and has also been installed in a bank and a forensic company. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is in talks with adapID for its use in authentication for government schemes.

adapID is an AI-based authentication system that matches user behaviour and biometric data. It does not require a password and has an invisible keyboard that is visible only to the user. It also has a decentralized web protocol, although it is not yet clear how AdapID will function as an alternative to OTP.
