According to the results of a new Kaspersky survey 'Excitement, Superstition and Great Insecurity – How Global Consumers engage with the Digital World', AI is becoming a new member of society. The study also found that today artificial intelligence is playing new roles in areas where it can succeed and be trusted by humans. One-third of Redponds (34%) believe that AI can be a better boss than humans due to its fairness. The vast majority (57%) are ready to use AI to run their daily lives more efficiently and 31% would use AI to help find the perfect partner on a dating app.
Survey believes that AI can be an unbiased boss
ChatGPT, one of the world's most popular chatbots based on data from Similarweb, received 153 million visits in the first month after its launch in November 2022 and peaked with 2 billion visits in April 2024. In view of the rapid development in AI, Kaspersky has conducted an in-depth study to examine current levels of trust in AI. The study examines its roles ranging from management positions in the workplace to assisting with important life decisions. According to the study, respondents see AI as their team member and a manager - 34% believe that AI can be a fairer boss than a human.
AI will have a big role in education
AI can also play an active role in education. Nearly half of the respondents (47%) believe that children will be taught through virtual experiences and the metaverse in the near future. Half of all users (50%) believe that AI has already become an indispensable part of their lives, with 43% having a positive outlook on its potential to bring many exciting opportunities for everyone and make the future better. Most respondents acknowledge that AI has potential in creative fields - 62% believe that AI is a reliable manufacturer of works of art.
AI can also be considered as a reliable companion and an assistant in daily life. More than half of the respondents (57%) would like to use AI to run their daily lives more efficiently. Almost half (48%) of those surveyed are ready to use AI chatbots to interact online, 31% would use it to help them find the right partner on a dating app. In fact, 48% believe that human relationships will change if virtual characters start replacing real-life partners.
