Farmers of Baramati in Maharashtra are using AI, through which they are able to get weather-related information and all the information related to crops through AI. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told about this and said that the farmers of Baramati are using Microsoft AI.

Satya Nadella said that small farmers in India are using Microsoft's AI tools to predict the weather, fight pests, and get better yields. In a video shared on X, the Microsoft CEO shared a "great example" of the positive impact of AI on agriculture. The Baramati region of Maharashtra remains drought-prone. In such a situation, farmers will be able to get information about the weather with the help of AI and do their farming accordingly.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the use of AI will increase the income of farmers, as it will increase the yield. Sharing a video on X, he said that an example I wanted to tell you all was of one of the small farmers who were part of the Baramati Cooperative Society. Farmers are using AI technology to increase their yield. He mentioned the Agriculture Development Trust (ADT) of Baramati, Maharashtra, which is using Microsoft AI technology with some selected farmers of the drought-affected area. He told that AI answers the farmers in their own language.

Suresh Jagtap, a farmer from Baramati, who has benefited from Microsoft's AI tools. Jagtap, 65, is tending to his sugarcane field. He is working towards the ultimate goal of harvesting the crop when the sucrose content in sugarcane is at its peak. The crop will not be harvested until November 2025. Speaking to Microsoft, he said the crop will not be harvested now but he can already see the difference. He told Microsoft that the growth is good and the height and leaves of the crop are also excellent.
